Our Story
José Mariano Rodriguez originally purchased Finca Capetillo in 1874. His son Juan José Rodriguez, a world-renowned entomologist, introduced modern agriculture practices, and so did the next generation led by Federico and Ernesto Rodriguez Benito, making Capetillo the premier coffee farm for the advancement of agriculture practices in the country.

Process
One of the key reasons for Capetillo's success is its use of wet, dry and export mill.

The combination of modern equipment and practices with the use of traditional wet-hulled and dry processing methods, as well as the experience of over 100 years of washing and processing, coffee, yields the best quality beans. The coffee is the sun-dried, ensuring optimal humidity.
A high degree of specialization is employed; a great amount of attention is given to processing each batch of coffee, handpicked from well-defined sectors of the farm. Thus, our managers know the exact origin of each coffee bean, ensuring high traceability standards.
This knowledge maximizes the individual potential of each of our coffee varieties, guaranteeing the production of consistent quality of world-class, strictly hard bean, Antigua-Guatemalan coffee.
